Police have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed multiple times in the car park at a sporting ground in southwest Sydney, where a brawl is believed to have taken place. Emergency services were called to a sporting ground on Eagle Vale Drive at Eagle Vale just before 3.30pm on Sunday to respond to brawl reports.
Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command attended and located a man with multiple stab wounds. Police believe the man is aged in his 20s. He was treated at the scene before being taken to Liverpool Hospital.
NSW Ambulance told NCA NewsWire the man had suffered “multiple, serious stab wounds” but that he was in a stable condition. Forensic officers will examine a crime scene that was established while an investigation is underway. A spokesperson for NSW Police said it was not related to a sporting match on the ground.
